I love Fall: the cold crisp days; falling colorful leaves; crackling fires in the morning; getting ready for Christmas and last but not least, cozy sweaters; leggings; boots; scarves – basically everything about fall fashion!
I’m also a ‘lazy’ shopper. Or I prefer a ‘smart’ shopper. I have three kids four and under and clothes shopping can be a big pain when all your toddlers want to do is go home and take a nap or play or anything except be there and watch their mom look for clothes. And that’s not even taking into account the whole “trying things on ordeal” as you keep the girl from dragging the baby out of the dressing view while the boy loudly proclaims how he wants to color dinosaurs now and they suddenly are all hungry and thirsty at the same time.
Because of that I’ve transitioned to buying most of clothes online. Amazon has come a long way in the past few years in their clothes department to the point where they now have a huge range of items. Also, if you have Amazon Prime, you get free two-day shipping (= you get your items super quickly) AND you get free returns, which means you can easily return things that don’t fit.
With that in mind, here are my favorite fall clothing staples for my 2017 Fall and Winter wardrobe:

My Fall Fashion Favorites
Sweaters & Tunic Dresses
Long Sleeve Sweater Tunic/Dress. I’m 5’ 5” and this comes down to my mid thigh making it the perfect option to wear with leggings or jeans. It comes in a wide variety of colors; is insanely comfortable and cozy but ALSO isn’t bulky. I have two of these and am already thinking of getting a few more.
Another Fall and Winter Fashion Favorite are Scarves. I love how scarves have transformed from being a item you threw on for simply warmth to a gorgeous piece for your outfit that is ALSO warm. Scarves like these blanket ones are great for layering with a minimalistic tee to really dress up your outfit.
Another staple in my closet that I’ve had for a couple years now is a Merino Wool Poncho. My husband bought this for me after I had my third baby and I’ve worn it constantly since then. He found this shop on Etsy called FloraMerHandmade that had amazing reviews and he gave it a try. The ponchos are just shy $120 per but it was one of the best wardrobe buys we ever made!
First, the lady makes them to order! You give her your height and weight and she will make the poncho or cape to fit YOUR body. Second, these last forever!! I’ve had mine for a couple years and it still looks exactly like the day I bought it. Definitely check her out!
Note: I don’t get paid or reimbursed for saying this, I just love the poncho that much!
Thigh High Boots
Thigh High Boots – I LOVE boots and have several pairs but had yet to get any thigh high boots, although they’ve been on my wish list for awhile. These are perfect for my fall wardrobe and are very comfortable. They have a zipper on the inside of the leg which make them easy to get on and off. I’m just wondering why I waited so long to purchase them!
These are also amazingly comfortable! The ads for this company say you can do yoga in them, and I believe them! I’ve gotten a few pairs of these and they all fit amazingly and hold their shape will still being stretchy and flexible enough to feel like your wearing yoga pants!
I love me some long dangly earrings but have often found that they are so heavy they pull my ears and end up being painful. I recently learned about a fairly new business called Leatherlief which sells high quality, beautiful leather earrings with 14k gold hooks, which means even if you have sensitive ears they are perfect for you. The minute I saw them, I knew I needed them and they did not disappoint! A perfect accessory to my fall outfits yet so light you can barely feel them in your ear. Check them out at the site here or their Etsy store here and/or also follow them on Instagram for updates and more products.
